What Is Genius Weft?
Genius Weft is a hand-tied weft made from premium human hair, machine-finished so that both edges are sealed and the weft can be cut to any width without unravelling. That last detail is the whole point. A traditional weft has to be used at the length it comes in, or carefully sealed by hand if it is trimmed. A Genius Weft can be cut precisely to fit the section of your head it is going into.

What Makes Genius Weft Different
Four things separate it from a conventional weft, and all four are about how little you notice it is there.
Cut to Any Width
Both edges are sealed, so the weft can be trimmed to fit each section exactly. No bunching at the ends of a row, no gaps between rows.

The seam is thinner than almost any other weft on the market, which is what lets it sit flush against the scalp instead of standing proud of it.
No Heat, No Glue

It is not the right call for everyone. Very short hair will not hide a row, and hair that is actively breaking should be repaired before any extension method goes near it. Both are things we will tell you at consultation rather than after.
What the Install Actually Involves
A full head takes a few hours. Most of that time is placement and cutting, not the sewing itself — which is exactly where the quality of the result is decided.
1. Colour Match
Wefts are matched to your mid-lengths and ends, not your roots, so the blend reads naturally as the hair moves.
2. Sectioning & Mapping
Rows are mapped to your head shape and how you wear your hair. This is the step that decides whether an updo gives the install away.
3. Beaded Anchors
Small beads are placed along each row to create the anchor line the weft is sewn onto. No heat, no adhesive.
4. Cutting to Width
Each weft is trimmed to the exact width of its section — the step that a standard weft simply cannot do.
5. Sewing
The weft is sewn onto the anchor line, sitting flat against the head rather than proud of it.
6. Blend Cut & Style
The extensions are cut into your natural hair so there is no shelf or step. Skipping this is why some installs look obvious.

Maintenance and How Long It Lasts
Plan on a maintenance visit every six to ten weeks. As your natural hair grows, the anchor rows move away from the scalp and need repositioning to stay secure and comfortable. Leaving it too long is the single most common cause of tension and matting at the beads.
The hair itself is a different lifespan to the install. Because Genius Weft uses premium human hair and nothing is glued, the wefts are usually refitted rather than replaced — often lasting six to twelve months with good care, which is what makes the up-front cost work out over time.
Day to day: brush from the ends upward with a soft-bristle or wide-tooth brush, keep conditioner off the anchor rows, sleep with hair loosely braided, and use a heat protectant. None of it is difficult, but all of it matters.
